Narrow Road Family Farm
Alhambra, IL | 15 miles from Edwardsville
On a quiet stretch of land in Alhambra, Illinois, Narrow Road Family Farm grows with care, intention, and heart. What began as a small family garden has blossomed into a thriving microfarm led by Amanda, alongside her husband and kids, who are all deeply involved in the work of feeding their community.
Amanda is a steward of both land and family. With the help of a grant, she built a large tunnel greenhouse that allows her to grow earlier in spring and later into fall—extending the season for some of our most popular greens. We rely on her for a bounty of leafy harvests: kale, arugula, swiss chard, romaine, and cabbage. She also supplies us with carrots, fennel, broccoli, and tender turnips that thrive in her carefully tended soil.
Narrow Road is also our exclusive source for local wildflower honey—a golden, floral-sweet gift from bees that pollinate the very same fields Amanda and her family nurture each day.
Like all of our partners, Amanda uses organic and naturally grown methods, avoiding synthetic inputs and prioritizing soil health, biodiversity, and sustainability. She may not hold a formal organic certification, but her growing practices and deep respect for the land speak volumes.
We’re honored to work with Amanda and her family, and proud to bring you the fruits—(and greens, and roots!)—of their labor.
