Wild Wolff Pastures

Brighton, IL | Sustainably Raised Eggs & Livestock

Tucked into the rolling pastures near Prairietown, Wild Wolff Pastures is more than a farm—it’s a living system, thoughtfully designed to nourish animals, soil, and people in equal measure. Run by Bobby and Mindy Wolff, this regenerative farm is our exclusive source for eggs, and one of the most sustainably-minded operations we’ve encountered.

Formerly known as Rustic Roots Farm, Wild Wolff Pastures focuses on producing sustainably raised chickens, eggs, and hogs—but their approach goes far beyond the animals. They grind and mix their own feed rations, tailoring nutrition to the unique needs of each species based on age, temperature, and season. They also craft their own farm-made compost, which is used throughout the property—from seed-starting to pasture restoration.

Their greenhouse uses soil blocks instead of plastic pots, cutting down on agricultural waste. And they’ve designed a beautiful closed-loop system where cattle help build the land—eating and trampling forage, spreading natural fertilizer, and making way for new, nutrient-dense growth for chickens and hogs alike.

At Wild Wolff, soil building isn’t just a practice—it’s a mission. Every choice reflects a passion for sustainability and an ongoing commitment to research, learning, and care. It’s an honor to bring their pasture-raised eggs to your table each week—and to support the kind of farming that gives back more than it takes.
